Job Description: Slot Manager will travel between casino locations in Oklahoma and Kansas.

JOB PURPOSE

The Slot Operations Manager is responsible for the strategic planning and leadership of all aspects of Slots Operations with a primary focus on maximizing slot gaming revenue, through both Class II and Class III machines and increasing guest experience. This position will direct the improvement of revenue through creating a competitive advantage, creating an analytics based culture, managing slot product, and negotiating costs, while maintaining attention to guest enjoyment and satisfaction. Oversees the department and ensures the Slot Operations and technical staff provide friendly and efficient service to internal and external guests. The Manager develops strategic goals and translates them into tactical plans, as well as provide leadership to ensure goals and expectations by the Tribe are attained.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
•Provides strategic insight, direction, and oversight to Slot Operations to ensure a successful and continuous operation.
•Oversees the maximization of slot floor optimization by reviewing in-depth analysis and identifying revenue opportunities with slot product mix and pricing, establishing slot replacement cycles, slot hold percentages, slot quantities, additional revenue sources, etc.
•Demonstrates an expert working knowledge of the slot industry, electronic gaming machines and associated/related equipment products, features, setup and configurations as well as player tracking/accounting systems features and configurations. Stays abreast of competitor slot product & service offerings, new technologies, and cutting edge trends significant to slot and gaming operations. Attends relevant industry conferences, conventions, tradeshows, expositions, etc. and networks with industry experts.
•Demonstrates comprehensive understanding and competence in electronic gaming machine performance analysis and familiarization including slot floor layout and configuration utilizing standard analysis practices, tools and applications. Develops strategic business plans, and annual operating and capital budgets. Oversees gaming revenues. Directs the budget management for the department. Ensures budgets are complete, accurate and in line with Tribe goals.
•Provides constructive feedback to the Casino's General Manager on necessary changes and improvements; implements and monitors approved changes.
•Oversees vendor relationships and all contract negotiations to ensure the best pricing, highest discounts, most favorable terms, added incentives, exclusive deals, etc.
•Understands that Slot Operations is a 24-hour revenue and service department, monitoring slot guest activities during peak and off peak periods.
•Develops, implements and communicates long-term direction and goals to Slot Operations. Regularly reviews and recommends changes/revisions, where necessary, to internal controls that relate to the Slot Department operations.
•Demonstrates a service culture that focuses on internal and external customers while creating consistent service expectations. Exhibits ability to communicate in a clear, friendly and positive manner with internal and external guests. Maintains high morale through support, appreciation and development of Team Members.
•Oversees regulatory compliance, product acquisition, placement, productivity and maintenance. Regularly evaluates all Slot Department policies and procedures for effectiveness and possible areas of improvement or efficiencies. Reviews the policies and procedures of the Slot Department to monitor internal controls and ensure protection of the gaming assets, updating such as needed to align with best practices, maintaining high level of regulatory compliance. Responsible for departmental compliance with specifications required by the SICS, TICS, MICS and all AML program and provide consistency between the two casinos.
•Select, train, develop, organize and motivate a highly qualified and effective team, capable of providing optimum staff support for the organization. The development includes technical abilities as well as leadership and interpersonal skills.
•Research and investigate incidents documenting findings in professional manner.
•Arrange and participate in meetings, conferences, and project team activities.
•Personal time management skills to allow for effective departmental management on all shifts.
•Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health, safety, and quality management.
•Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Other duties as assigned to facilitate the efficiency of Casino operations.

Knowledge of casino gaming and gaming devices, both Class II and Class III is a must.

Knowledge of server based gaming, Class II gaming and basic IT infrastructure.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, reviewing and directing work; evaluating and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/JOB QUALIFICATIONS

•Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field is required.
•Master's degree is highly preferred.
•Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in slot operations is required.
•Minimum of eight (8) years supervisory and leadership experience is required.
•Equivalent combination of education and progressive, relevant and direct experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
•Experience in large-scale gaming operations; 2,000+ gaming machines preferred.
•Must be culturally competent and effective in multi-cultural environment.
•Effective at presenting information and responding to questions and/or concerns from management, staff, customers, public groups, regulatory agencies, and/or the Business Committee.
•Strong leadership and people management skills required with good motivational and collaboration emphasis; communicates change effectively, overcomes resistance and builds commitment.
•Strong computer background in the use of all Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for spreadsheet, reporting and presentation development. Proficiency with CAD programs. Ability to use Konomi slot system or other back of house systems.
•Ability to have a flexible schedule to provide for Casino requirements.
•Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a high stress/profile environment.
•Ability to assess risk and respond in appropriate manner.
•Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
•Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
