Job Description: Wyandotte Services, Wyandotte, OK has a future opportunity to provide experienced on site Program Management for a long-term contract for the U.S. Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), Desert Southwest Region, Phoenix AZ.

Summary

WAPA is a Power Marketing Administration and part of the Department of Energy (DOE). WAPA manages Federal electric power transmission and markets power across 15 western and central states. WAPA annually markets and transmits more than 10,000 megawatts of power and 37 billion kWh of energy from hydroelectric power plants owned and operated by the Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the International Boundary and Water Commission. WAPA’s DSW regional office is located at 615 S 43rd Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona, which will be the primary on-site location during the performance of this contract, with other elements of work being located at various facilities within the region as identified in the PWS.

Scope of Work

Candidate shall be responsible for overall management and supervision of assigned staff for vital technical support services and resources to assist DSW with the daily operations, while achieving cost-effectiveness, customer satisfaction and compliance with all applicable WAPA, DOE, Federal, State and other applicable regulations as required.

The candidate shall have strong organizational, analytical and written/oral communication skills. They shall have demonstrated history of progressively more responsible and diverse supervisory and managerial experience commensurate with the scope of activities identified for each of the technical and/or professional labor categories identified below.

The candidate will be responsible for managing its workforce to meet PWS requirements to include reasonable fluctuations of workload, which may occur across functional areas.

Must have experience and ability to manage master employee work schedules, and prioritize for multiple subordinate tasks. Effective oral and written communication skills as well as skills in interpersonal and collaborative relationships. Must have working knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Professionally complete reports and deliverables imposed by the supported clientele and the supervisor in a timely fashion. Ability to comprehend, translate and apply DOE requirements and directives. Effectively interact with disparate working groups and management levels.

Experience/Education Requirements
•Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years’ experience in supervising large contracts with Engineering disciplines
•5+ years’ experience with at least two of the following areas of expertise:
•Engineering Protection and Communication Maintenance
•Transmission Lines and Substation Maintenance
•Engineering and Construction
•Metering and Relay
•Drafting/CAD Operations
•Construction Inspection Support or
•High Voltage Utility Equipment and Fleet Maintenance/Repair
