Maintenance Support Specialist
Job Description:
Scope of responsibility of the Maintenance Support Specialistincludes budget development and tracking of N5000s budget, preventive maintenance scheduling, working assignments, and status of work program accomplishments. Assists in preparing budget estimates, program development documents, and reports. Assists in creating annual work order plans, gather necessary field data and design documentation.
Through the MAXIMO/BIDDS system, tracks and reviews work orders for the purpose of validating appropriate cost codes, man-hour utilization, equipment and material used and compliance with identified maintenance schedules. Maintains and tracks equipment data, inspection reports, and test reports for insertion into various data base systems. Assists in preparing and, tracking various reports for the RCM and Asset Management program.
Procurement Support: Assists in preparing purchase orders for purchases for N5000 utilizing the MAXIMO/BIDDS system initiates procurement purchase requisitions for N5000, and assists with developing sole source justifications, when appropriate. Tracks the Division's procurement requests, and helps to identify those that need to be expedited or those that can slip. Co-ordinate equipment deliveries and design development to meet project schedules.
Data Management: Reviews, monitors, and maintains the equipment data and test sheets. Periodically reviews the equipment files for accuracy. Assists in the development, coordination, and tracking tools for maintenance-related programs, such as data entry of technical documentation in an automated system tracking progress of compliance programs by utilizing Western’s software programs such as BIDDS, MAXIMO, Docushare, etc.
Coordinator: Specialist acts as the coordinator among the Managers, Supervisors, Foreman, and employees providing technical assistance, general information, and assistance on a variety of matters. Develop new reporting tools and attend meetings, as required
Minimum Qualifications:
? Has a working knowledge of database structures and query languages
? Knowledge of WAPA’s CMMS system (MAXIMO) and its interfaces with Western’s financial and payroll systems (BIDSS and ATAAPS)
? General knowledge of power systems components and relationships from a functional perspective sufficient to provide oversight and maintenance of plant equipment inventory in MAXIMO
? Knowledge of the principles and practices of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) method of identifying optimal equipment strategies
? Experience with CMS and other reporting software
? Proficiency with MS Office applications
