Job Description: Summary
Wyandotte Services is a leading provider of professional services and solutions to the Department of Energy. We are recruiting a Technical Editor in support of the Department of Energy Oak Ridge Office, Office of Safeguards, Security and Emergency Management contract. DOE “Q” Clearance required

This position serves as the Technical Editor for all sites under the Wyandotte Services contract.

Primary Duties:
• Serve as a main point-of-contact for federal oversight and Survey
Team Leads.
• Prepare, proof read, and review outgoing correspondence for
conformance with administrative policy and procedures, proper
coordination, safeguarding of classified information, and
correctness of format, spelling, composition, and grammar.
• Assemble security related documents and packages for Subject
Matter Experts to assess at the off-site DOE facility surveys.
• Coordinate with the federal staff to help ensure compliance within
established time limits.
• Provide exceptional customer service and administrative support as
necessary.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Experience and ability to manage schedules, and prioritize for
multiple subordinate tasks.
• Effective oral and written communication skills as well as skills
in interpersonal relationships. Must have working expertise of
grammar, punctuation, and spelling
• Ability to professionally complete reports, deliverables and
deadlines imposed by the supported clientele and the manager.
• Ability to comprehend, translate, and apply DOE S&S requirements
and directives.
• Ability to handle business sensitive, proprietary, Controlled
Unclassified Information (CUI), and classified matter up to and
including Secret-Restricted Data (SRD).
• Ability to provide excellent customer service and deal with
different and sometimes difficult people.
• Able to operate office equipment (e.g., facsimile, copier, and
shredder) and effectively use personal computers and associated
software to include MS Office and the Safeguards and Security
Information Management System.
• Ability to effectively interact with disparate working groups and
management levels

Minimum Requirements:
• The position requires handling of business sensitive, proprietary,
CUI, and classified matter up to and including SRD.
• Experience and/or knowledge of DOE security directives/orders and
experience assessing and maintaining programs in compliance with
these directives is required. DOE report writing experience is
desired.
• Must have completed or be able to complete the training courses
listed below:
o NTC # PHY 128 DE Basic Survey Overview Strong organizational,
communication and collaborative skills
o Safeguards and Security Information Management System (SSIMS)

• Write concisely both business and technical correspondence
• Strong people skills at all levels of a company and customer
organization
• Strong customer relations and actively seek feedback
• Work to promote a positive work environment for other employees
and our customers
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Education:
• BA Degree preferred or equivalent experience in relevant discipline
• 5+ years experience in technical writing
• 5+ years in supervisory or management of teams

Clearance:
• Must have a DOE “Q” Clearance
