Summary:
Bearskin Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Wyandotte Nation, is seeking an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) at Columbus AFB. Top Secret Clearance required.
The Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) will serve on a two member team in the Wing Cybersecurity Office comprised of subject matter experts (SME)s working at base level to complete tasks supporting and related to Assessment & Authorization (A&A) [under the DoD, Air Force and AETC implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF)] and function/perform as the ISSM. He/she will be required to manage the Computer Security (COMPUSEC) Program, the Communication Security (COMSEC) Program, TEMPEST Program, and the 8570 Program for Columbus AFB. The ISSM will train and assist over 80 unit Cybersecurity Liaisons (CLs) in the management of the unit level Cybersecurity Programs. Additional duties such as but not limited to safe custodian, CA/CRL equipment custodian, controlled area monitor, and security rep may be assigned.
Main Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Serve in the capacity of the ISSM and carryout the assigned responsibilities of the ISSM, IAW DoD and AF regulations.
- Serve as the Alternate COMSEC Manager carrying out duties such as inventories, destruction, inspections, and etc.
- Serve as the Alternate TEMPEST Manager carrying out duties such as certifying classified areas for processing, submitting TEMPEST packages to the CTTA, annual assessments, and etc.
- Maintain responsibility for RMF A&A. Existing RMF A&A packages will be managed IAW referenced DoD and AF policies.
- Complete required documentation to satisfy annual FISMA reporting requirements in ITIPS IAW Air Force FISMA reporting guidance.
- Manage the 8570 program to include verifying certifications for admin accounts, tracking admin 2875s and user agreements, and assisting users with certification renewals.
- Use Remedy ticket system to approve IT hardware and software requests as submitted.
- Assist CLs in submitting DLP waivers for external hard drives on the network.
- Respond as needed to MTOs, NOTAMs, and MPTOs.
- Conduct semi-annual COMSEC and Secure Voice inspections on CROs and SVROs as required per AF regulation.
- Obtain and maintain circuit accreditation in GIAP and SNAP resulting in Authorization to Connects (ATCs) for all required CAFB circuits.
- Provide expert Cybersecurity and COMPUSEC insight to Command Cyber Readiness Inspections (CCRIs)
- Update KMI system, STEs, OMNIs, Vipers, SKLs, and etc as required.
- Receive and process USB violations, government account credential disclosures, password compromises, classified message incidents, COMSEC incidents, CAT events, and any other network/security incidents as required by DoD and AF regulations.
-Train and provide guidance/support to over 80 unit CLs in the Cybersecurity Program.
- Evaluate software/hardware for network compliance on the AF EPL, NIAP, Common Criteria, and document NSIs as needed.
- Serve as a voting member of the Configuration Control Board (CCB) performing risk identification and assessment for all changes on the base NIPR/SIPR enclaves
- Participate in remanence security (REMSEC) risk management process.
Experience:
5 - 7 years related experience
Education/Training (Highly preferred but not required):
Bachelor’s degree in a related area
Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) Course
TEMPEST Manager Course
Certifications:
Must meet position and certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Manager Level 2. (ex: CAP, GSLC, CISM, CISSP, or CASP)
Security Clearance: Current TOP SECRET Clearance
Other Requirements:
- Must be a US citizen
- Must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous USAF, military/civilian personnel and industry partners
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Possess a high degree of originality, creativity, initiative requiring minimal supervision
